Everybody has read a fable about animals at least once in their lives. Animals are the best ones to explain us how to behave and what not to do. A bear, a hare, a fox, a crow, a stork – they all speak to our soul in animal fables.
Once upon a time there was a beautiful sunny spring day. The children were playing happily in the park playground, the squirrels were jumping from branch to branch and the dogs were playing happily on the grass with a ball. But a little abandoned dog, Thistle, was walking sadly alone in the park, watching from a distance the happy faces of the dogs who had a home. He longed so much to be one of them.

You don’t see many animals in the city. You’re more likely to see cars, motorbikes, scooters, lots of people and children playing. But occasionally, you can find a wild animal in the city. For example, you can sometimes see birds’ nests in the trees. They’ll find a tall tree with forked branches. They carefully place branch after branch and leaf after leaf until they have a comfortable and solid nest. One such tree, where the birds lived, stood right in front of Edith’s house.
